Nigel Small
Programmer with a small grey beard.
Having begun programming at the age of seven, coding and software development has been an interest for most of my life, and is something which I am fortunate enough to have also turned into a career.
Over the years, I have worked with a vast range of technologies and programming languages, most notably Python and Java. Since 2014, I have focused professionally on leading teams that build client libraries for database API, previously at Neo4j and later at Elastic. Specifically, these are multi-disciplinary teams working in a range of programming languages to provide tooling to a broad swathe of the international developer community.
I am motivated by delivering useful, well-designed software, by mentoring junior engineers and motivating senior engineers, and by ensuring clear communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
